Breast Augmentation
Breast Crease

The Breast Crease Approach to breast augmentation has been popular with surgeons for years since it is easily learned, versatile for both augmentation and revisions, and can provide excellent camouflage of scars on the breast in appropriate individuals.

Some surgeons only offer this approach because in their hands they find it to be the most reliable in terms of placement of a variety of implants of the round, smooth, textured or anatomic (teardrop) styles.

The major drawback to the procedure is that the scars are visible to some extent, although easily covered with clothing such as bathing suits or bras. However, even though most surgical scars heal with reasonable appearance, even the best scars may be visible on intimate examination or with the arms held directly over the head.

If the possibility of even a slightly visible scar is objectionable to a woman, she will probably feel more comfortable with the Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation (TUBA) approach or one of the other breast augmentation approaches such as Transaxillary Breast Augmentation (Armpit Approach) or the Periareolar  Breast Augmentation Approach.
